haydaySeems easy enough. If you have an Android device including Amazon Fire Tablets, download the Hay Day app for free and get $10 Amazon appstore credit. I have no idea what the game is about, but if the credit is indeed only for apps then I can buy an educational app for my preschooler. (We like the Endless series by Originator, and Endless Alphabet is free with Amazon Underground.)

For a limited time, customers who download Hay Day from Amazon Appstore between August 1, 2016 and August 31, 2016 will receive a $10 credit toward purchase of digital content in Amazon Appstore. Only customers who have not previously downloaded Hay Day from Amazon Appstore are eligible for this offer.

Update: This is showing up for me as a $10 Amazon credit towards anything shipped and sold by Amazon. Just add any items over $10 that is shipped and sold by Amazon to your cart, and you should see this. I just added some enzymatic dental chews for my dogs for $12.08 and saw this:

As of 8/3, they added the following sentence to the terms and conditions: “Please note, it may take up to 48 hours for you to receive an e-mail confirming that the $10 Amazon credit has been applied to your account.” As of this day, the credit also appears to be limited to App Store purchases as well.

Hay Day is actually kind of fun – was one of the first apps I downloaded on my iPad – and I still play it, 3+ years later. 🙂

  2. Fake Name says

So how do I verify I have received the credit? The app is downloaded, installed, and run once. But no email confirmation, no change in the balance listed at my MP3 / GC check page.

  3. Where do you find the credit once the game is downloaded?

  4. Maury McCoy says

    Hmmm… didn’t work for me.

  5. Me either, credit didnt show up. Im going to give it a day or two and ill see if it shows up if not ill be contacting amazons customer service lol

    • I actually emailed Amazon after I downloaded the game and asked them where I would find the credit. They said they would make sure my credit was issued.

  6. ok so i just read on the amazon store page that it may take up to 48hrs to receive an email confirming the app download and the $10 credit.

  7. Worked for me. To see if it worked, I added toilet paper :~) and a $10 credit showed up right away. Thanks, Jonathan!

  8. I bought the app, downloaded, installed and played it. NO sign of any credit. Tried putting something in my cart and going to checkout, nothing. Checked my digital credit balance and its not there either.

However the full details of the promotion say: “For a limited time, customers who download Hay Day from Amazon Appstore between August 1, 2016 and August 31, 2016 will receive a $10 credit toward purchase of digital content in Amazon Appstore. Only customers who have not previously downloaded Hay Day from Amazon Appstore are eligible for this offer. Please note, it may take up to 48 hours for you to receive an e-mail confirming that the $10 Amazon credit has been applied to your account.

Download Hay Day on one of your compatible devices to receive your $10 Amazon Appstore credit by clicking below.”

So this can take 2 days to get the email. I’m assuming then that it can take 2 days to get the credit.

    • Yes, the 48 hour bit was added recently, it wasn’t there when I first posted about this. I never got any $10 e-mail, but I did get the credit and used it already, so I’d recommend trying the shopping cart method after waiting 48 hours.

  9. Worked for me, thanks!

  10. I finally got the email.
“Thank you for your download of Hay Day from the Amazon Appstore. Your $10 Amazon Appstore credit has been added to your account and will expire in 30 days. This credit is usable towards your next purchase of an app, game, or in-app purchase sold by Amazon.com.”

I do NOT see a $10 credit in my cart when trying to buy an item that is not an app.
The credit does not show up when I look at my digital credits. http://amzn.to/mp3-balance

However I bought an app that I’ve wanted for $6.99 and I can see the $6.99 credit in the invoice and the cost is $0. So it does work but I can’t see the digital app credit anywhere until after blindly buying an app.

  11. I received an email stating ” Thank you for your download of Hay Day from the Amazon Appstore. Your $10 Amazon Appstore credit has been added to your account and will expire in 30 days. This credit is usable towards your next purchase of an app, game, or in-app purchase sold by Amazon.com.” I’ve tried putting things in my cart sold by Amazon and no credit shows. Maybe it will only work for me if I buy an “app, game, or in-app” thing —– but nothing there appeals to me.

    • Agreed, The credit seems to be now really only for app purchases, doesn’t show up before purchase, and for the most part that’s not really useful due to the light number of good paid apps on the app store. I wouldn’t trust making any major app purchases through a third party app store anyways, even amazon’s. I’d rather get it from google play and know I won’t have issues in the future.

They should make it like google’s credits, where at least you can also use them on video, music and books.

      Oh well

  12. Directly from Amazon: ‘…I would like to inform you that credit only applies to Amazon Appstore purchases.
You can purchase the app’s and in-app items using the promo credit from the Appstore.
    I hope that helps!

  13. If people got $10 credits for general merchandize then I assume that was an error.

The promo says: “$10 credit toward purchase of digital content in Amazon Appstore” Thats pretty specific that the credit is just for the app store. So apps only was the intention and how its working.

  14. After you get your credit you can see the amount available here :
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/sign-in.html/ref=mas_gc_si?ie=UTF8&node=13142005011&path=%2Fmobile-apps%2Fb&showGC=1&useRedirectOnSuccess=1

It also seems to add your general digital credit.

I had a $3 digital credit (from slow shipping). I got the $10 promo credit for Hay Day and then I spent $6.99 on a game. SO I’ve got 3.01 left of the promo credit. THe link above is showing $6.01 for me (3 + 3.01)
