With rates rising, I guess they want some more money to lend out too:

E-LOAN Online Savings – 5.50% APY on all balances. Minimum opening deposit of $5,000, no monthly fees.

Countrywide Bank SavingsLink – 5.25% APY on balances of $10,000 – $49,999, 5.30% APY on balances of $50,000 – $99,999. Minimum opening deposit of $1,000, no monthly fees.

  1. Once it’s open th e-loan with the $5000.00 minimum, can I withdraw below the $5000.00?

  2. Thanks for the link for the E-Loan savings. I was considering opening at Countrywide, but since E-Loan is a bit higher, that is where I’m going to park my cash. But umm. Anyone have problems with E-Loan before? I don’t think it is in Bankrate.com either, so any feedback on this place would be great.

  3. I seen eloan.com on bankrate… As long as it is FDIC I don’t seen anyharm..

  4. Eloan Link at BankRate – 3 Stars – owned by Banco Popular de Puerto Rico – The largest bank in Puerto Rico.

  5. Is E-Loan pretty much the same as Emigrant Direct’s online savings account except with a higher APY? I take it there are still no fees except for the minimum of $5000?

  6. I see no monthly fees, and you get 5.50% now regardless of balance. E-Loan is looking pretty good, the only question is if they can keep the rate up. I’m going to open an account and see how it goes.

One other note is that they only let you link up the E-loan account to one other account. So it’s a bit harder to move money around with.
