For the month of April, HBO is making 500 hours of programming available to stream for free (without ads) for a limited time on HBO Now and HBO Go services without a subscription. You can download the HBO Go or HBO Now apps for iOS and Android, and I was able to use the HBO app in my Smart TV without issue. Also, the free HBO content is available through Hulu (without mid-show commercials, even though I don’t subscribe to the ad-free Hulu plan), and also in the Roku Channel app (I was initially unable to access the free HBO content through HBO Go or HBO Now on my Roku, but that may have changed).
