Museum Day 2012: Free Admission On Saturday 9/29

In the spirit of Smithsonian Museums, who offer free admission everyday, Museum Day is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a Museum Day Ticket…for free! I need to add this to my calendar as I’ll forget otherwise.

Offer is valid only on Saturday, September 29, 2012. (Exceptions for Museum Day museums closed on Saturdays). One ticket for two people only. One ticket per valid email address. One ticket will gain entry in only the museum selected. Find a participating museum here. The selection is actually pretty good.

On a related note, Bank of America runs a Museums on Us program which offers cardholders free admissions to 150 museums nationwide on the first full weekend of every month.

In San Diego’s Balboa park, each Tuesday a different set of museums is free. It rotates each week. Quite crowded on those days. Makes it clear you’re better off paying…

    Neat! Thanks.
