Barnes & Noble bookstores and AT&T are now offering free wireless internet access to everyone. You can use this storefinder to see which ones have free Wi-Fi. Seems like they are now promoting their own e-Books as well through the service. Via Lifehacker.

You can still get 2 hours of free Wi-Fi every day from Starbucks if you register a gift card and use it once a month. Sometimes you just need a change of scenery to get the inspiration going again.

  1. What? You had/have to pay for wireless at B&N and Starbucks? I thought that was free for a while…

  2. That’s great news!

  3. Does that mean you need to be a AT &T customer to use Wi-FI in Starbucks? I have no affiliation at all with AT &T, would that work? Thank you.

if you are an ATT iPhone user (Not an unlocked iPhone used on Tmobile) you get free access at all ATT Wifi hot spots.

  5. ATT fastaccess (DSL) users also get free wifi at ATT wifi hot spots (Starbucks is ATT I think).

  6. Yes, free for everyone at BN. No affiliation need. AT&T is simply the provider.

  7. Starbucks (like all AT&T locations) is free if you have a qualifying AT&T account. If you do not have an affiliation with AT&T, but have the Starbucks gift card, you get the free 2 hours.

  8. Cheers to Starbucks and Barnes & Noble.
