I’m a day late on this one, but perhaps there is some free make-up or perfume left:

As part of a class action settlement, $175 million worth of free cosmetics products will be distributed to members of the class for a maximum of seven days, while supplies last, on a first come, first served basis, beginning on January 20, 2009. No rainchecks will be issued. The products will be distributed at stores owned by the Retailer Defendants.

See CosmeticsSettlement.com for a list of participating stores and products. Thanks to reader Jeremy, but I take it back if this makes me have to drive to the dreaded mall today. 😉

  1. Do you know if you have to prove somehow that you purchased cosmetics in the past?

  2. You don’t need to prove anything.
All you need to do is write you name down(no address etc..).

  3. Nope, no proof required. You just sign your name on a form and pick up your free cosmetics.

  4. No, you just have to print and sign your name on a document. They don’t ask for i.d. or anything to prove you are the person whose name you signed, and whether you picked up product at another store.

  5. my sisters went ten or fifteen times they got a ton of stuff

Most of the stores had “sold” out. We managed to get one item, but didn’t feel like standing in line again for the same item.

  7. I happened to be in the mall anyways, so I went and got my item. Thanks for the fyi.

  8. My GF was all over this last night?! She said the lines were long and that they didn’t even check I.D.s to prevent repeat ‘customers’

  9. metatrader says

Nothing will left in a few hours IMHO in most of stores.

  10. I heard there were massive lines
