This week’s Carnival of Investing is up at Blueprint For Financial Prosperity. For everyone that has volunteered to host future carnivals, I apologize for not getting back to you all. I’m trying to make some alterations to the Carnival requirements to make it better for everyone involved and want all the new hosts to agree to the new changes before I wrangle you into hosting. Of course, I haven’t found the time to put it all together yet so shame on me.

Commenter Rummy on my last net worth update asks a good question – What’s our income? After all, I sure spill a lot of financial beans on this blog. You guys know how much debt I have, how much savings, even where my money is invested. Why not disclose income? I agree, it would help complete the financial picture and give things context.

The main reason why I’m not giving out exact numbers is that this blog is not a completely anonymous anymore. If it were, I think I would share. But family, friends, and co-workers know about it now. And for some reason income is very, very personal. Even more personal than net worth. If our co-workers knew our salaries, there is a good chance it could create tension, and I *hate* office politics. My old boss specifically asked me not to mention my salary to others.

While our current cars are running fine (even though one is 11 years old), I find myself very intrigued by the new 2007 Honda Fit. One of many perky new compact cares, many people may assume that it’s just a response to recent gas prices, but the Fit has been sold in Japan and around the world as the Jazz since 2001.

I like it because it just seems simple and useful. It’s got decent seating room due to it’s shape. Check out the different seating configurations, or ‘modes’, that it has. The rear seats actually fold flat like in an SUV, giving you lots of storage space. And it’ll be easy to park.
