Advertising Disclosure

My Money Blog has partnered with CardRatings and may receive a commission from card issuers. Some or all of the card offers that appear on this site are from advertisers and may impact how and where card products appear on the site. MyMoneyBlog.com does not include all card companies or all available card offers. All opinions expressed are the author’s alone.

I have been blogging now for over a decade (since 2004), initially armed with just a $5 a month hosting plan and a desire to escape 40 years of cubicle life. There was no advertising in the beginning, but my work on this blog is now supported by advertising. MyMoneyBlog.com remains independently-owned; it is not controlled or owned by a publicly-traded corporation or private equity group. Instead, it is owned by me, my wife, my two kids, and my two dogs. 😀

MyMoneyBlog.com is for informational purposes only. This website does not provide legal, financial, accounting or tax advice. Rates and terms set on third-party websites are subject to change without notice.

In accordance with FTC guidelines, you should assume that MyMoneyBlog.com has financial relationships with all merchants mentioned. MyMoneyBlog.com has both banner advertising and affiliate advertising. The banner advertising is provided by a third-party (i.e. Google Adsense) and changes every time you visit. In general, the ads you see should relate to the content on the specific page that you are on (i.e. credit card ad on a a credit card review post). Depending on if you accept cookies, the ads may also be based on your browsing history. I can’t always control what ads show up, but if you find something offensive you can contact me and I can try to see if I can opt-out of that advertiser.

MyMoneyBlog.com also participates in affiliate advertising, which means I am compensated if visitors click on any outbound links and generate sales for the said merchant. I only write about a small fraction of the offers out there, and try to only include offers that I believe are of interest to my readership and are the best publicly-available offers available. If there is no affiliate program, I will still write about it. However, if that offer does have an affiliate program, then I will participate in it. (I also participate in many of the offers myself as a customer.) This compensation may impact how and where products appear on this site (including, for example, the order in which they appear). This site does not include all credit card companies or all available credit card offers.

I thank you for supporting this site. Nearly 4,000 articles later, I remain the sole person writing these posts day in and day out. I am quite aware of the potential for conflicts of interest, and I am proud to have built up your trust over this time and will continue to work hard to keep it. This is an independently-owned site and all opinions expressed are my own and have not been reviewed, approved or otherwise endorsed by any bank, investment group, credit card issuer, or other financial services provider.
