It seems that MyMoneyBlog as been named one of the “Ten Money Blogs Everyone Should Read” by Yahoo!’s Tech Insider, with MyMoneyBlog topping the list! No idea why they picked me, and I don’t think the rankings actually mean anything, but it’s still cool.

For those that are new – Here is my most recent financial snapshot, which lists all of my assets and liabilities. Here is some information about me. And here is my mid-term goal. My long-term goal is to retire early with $1.5 mil by age 55. Enjoy and take a look around!

  1. You know it’s only going to go downhill from here right? =)

  2. If I were a contrarian, and I am… Hah, good job!

  3. Congrats on the kudos! 😉

  4. Congratulations on making it to the list!

Your goals got me thinking exactly how much money I would need to retire on. I have been hesitant to make such a goal without first making sure it was enough money. The 100K goal is fine, but 1.5M by 55? Do you think this will be adeaquate? With inflation, do you think this might be enough? I am sure you will be able to do much better than this 🙂

  5. Haha, thanks guys, I’m so glad it’s the weekend. I’m going to assume the vegetation position now.

Michael – You’re probably right, it won’t be enough with inflation. I pulled that number out of the air when I first started this blog. Oh, how naive I was then! 😉

I’ll probably make some adjustments to that goal in the near future.

Congratulations! I finally blogrolled you. When I first saw your blog a few weeks ago it was nice to see someone kidna doing the same thing as me , although my blog is a bit more “all over the place” than yours. I like the progress meter you have on your homepage.
I haven’t posted much about $ lately but I will make a detailed post soon.

  7. Like your goal. Am working on the same one plus, except the time span. As soon as I can earn it 🙂
