Whole Foods Market is offering a $10 bonus if you auto-reload a Whole Foods Market gift card with a $100+ using any American Express card. You can buy a gift card online or in-store. You can also get a $5 bonus for every third reload of $100 or more after that. Offer runs through March 31, 2013.

A new Whole Foods recently opened up near us, and we’ve been shopping there occasionally. Despite being nicknamed “Whole Paycheck”, I have to admit that it’s a nice change to talk to knowledgeable employees about meat and other products. Being able to buy things by the pound (meat, bulk foods) as opposed to by the package has also been less wasteful for us. Their 365 basic items are also pretty good, although I’m certainly not saying that I could do all my shopping there.

Selected fine print:

Cardmembers who have enrolled in auto-reload of their Whole Foods Market gift card with a value of $100 or more will receive a bonus of $10 for the first reload, and $5 for every third reload of $100 or more after that through March 31, 2013. Bonuses only apply to the first Whole Foods Market gift card set up for reload with each American Express Card, even if you reload multiple Whole Foods Market gift cards. Cancellations of the auto-reload schedule will cancel the bonus schedule and make the American Express Card ineligible for further Whole Foods Market auto-reload bonuses

  1. You definitely need organic food for the little one.

  2. After giving these people all your information online you have to confirm your identity with some third party company who you’ve never heard of and frankly sounds like a phoney bank hidden someplace on one of Vladimir Putin’s estates.

Personally I wouldn’t give them the last 4 digits of my Social security much less my credit card information for $10. My paranoia maybe not yours.

  3. They also offer a lot of Fair Trade (or “Whole Trade”) products that don’t exploit vulnerable farmers in the developing world. Sometimes the higher price is not just a company lining their pockets, but paying laborers a fair wage.

  4. “Whole Paycheck” lol.

  5. Thanks! Make sure to change the URL in your browser to be secure (https) before entering your credit card number on the Whole Foods page; it looks like the link from the Amex page doesn’t do that automatically.
