Scottrade Referral Program Details – 3 Free Trades
Thinking of opening up a new account at Scottrade? I’ve had an account with them for years. They offer 3 free online trades if you are referred by an existing customer. The referrer also gets 3 free trades.
To get the the three free trades that you have six months to use, simply enter the referral code PLTK1166 when filling out your application. Let me make sure all the terms were clear:
The referral bonus applies to all accounts except IRAs or custodial accounts. You must open the account with at least $500 for cash accounts ($2,000 for margin accounts). The free trades should show up about one week after you open and fund your accounts, and expire after 6 months.

Has Scottrade suspend you from getting any new free referrals from anybody on the net? I know that you said in the past that they called you can ask to “not” send any more people to them. I have a site also and they currently haven’t given me any free trades within the last week. I usually get 3 free trades every other day. What do think about this issue? I know you have had the same troubles.
