Museum Day 2007: Free Admission On Saturday 9/29

Looking for a weekend activity? How about checking out a museum for free?

Museum Day is a nationwide event taking place on Saturday, September 29, 2007 where participating museums and cultural institutions across the country offer free admission to Smithsonian readers and Smithsonian.com visitors, allowing for one day only, the free-admission policy of Smithsonian’s Washington, D.C.-based facilities to be emulated across the country.

You could be saving $10-$20 per person, which for a family really adds up. Find a participating museum here (if no results via search, click on the state-by-state map, there should be at least one in most metro areas), and be sure to print your admission card here.

Cool, thanks! I found a few different ones to go to in Miami. That would require an hour drive though :(

No free museums in the whole state of MA! Oh well, we go to the Museum of Science for free anyway w/my wife’s work badge.

Esther – Gotta click on the country map, there are tons of Participating museums in MA.

  6. Esther Says:

Thanks Jonathan. I wonder why it returned zero results the first time I tried. Oh and btw, I’m not a married lesbian (MA is the only state to recognize same-sex marriage after all). I just forgot to change the name back to ‘Mike’ after my wife used it to comment once, haha.

    LOL ;)
