Fixing up the house? Submit your information for a 10% off Lowe’s Coupon via e-mail. I think you’re supposed to be moving in the near future. Not valid on sale items, but possibly good to combine with Cash for Appliances? Selected fine print:

This coupon is good for a single receipt purchase of any in-stock or Special Order merchandise only up to $5,000 (Maximum discount $500). [...] Limit one coupon per household. Actually, if you go to the post office and pick up the change of address packet, there is usually a $10 off a $50 purchase at Lowe’s coupon in there as well as others. I had to change the address for a number of people/businesses at my address and ended up with a bunch of ‘em…

Keep in mind Lowe’s keeps a database on addresses and names. If it comes up twice, they won’t send you the coupon via email. It’s barcoded for a specific one-time use. So using someone else’s coding off an internet copy (i.e. retailmenot.com type offer) doesn’t work either.

The best thing about all Lowe’s coupons? Home Depot takes them. Yup. Even the expired ones. And vice versa. I carry a walletful and never make a purchase at either store without using one. We did roughly $11,000 worth of stuff to our home (including new stove and countertops) for around $10,000.

Tom is correct. My wife and I both signed up to get the coupon but, I was the only one that received it. Still, the coupon came in handy and we were able to use it to buy a new fridge for our new place.

@elaine walter: you have to sign yourself up for that 10% movers’ coupon on Lowe’s website. THEY are the ones that process it and send you the discount coupon.
