Not quite as good as Amazon.com, but Groupon is offering a $20 gift certificate to Barnes & Noble for $10. Valid either in-store or online at BN.com. Valid on sale items. Expires 4/11, which means on that date the value goes down to $10.

You can usually get free shipping once you reach $25 total online as well.

  1. Here’s a little question to Barnes and Noble: If you already go with a nation-wide deal and offer such a great offer, why not to use it to make your stores stronger by limiting it just to purchasing in stores? Your problem is with brick and mortar sales, not your online sales. Wouldn’t this deal be a great incentive to bring back customers to stores??

  2. I also used Mr. Rebates to get 8% cashback, bringing this down to 9.20.

Plus I will use a cashback site to purchase online, further lowering my costs.

I recently signed up for groupon and it’s been a good thing. If you like to go out to eat this is a great app for you. I can’t say I like getting deals on massages or flowers on occasion but every once and a while there are some really good deals across town on such things such as books, electronics, restaurants and more. Hey thanks mymoneyblog.com for showing me this deal. You gave me a great idea for a birthday gift….and saved me money at the same time.
