I suppose they are if your situation is very simplistic. I have had lawyers tell me they're not worth while and you'll get what you pay for. Don't they even have a disclaimer that says "consult an attorney?" For a couple hundred more you could have a will, POA, and directive drawn up by a professional that meets your specific needs.
