Free Wireless Internet Access at Barnes and Noble

Barnes & Noble bookstores and AT&T are now offering free wireless internet access to everyone. You can use this storefinder to see which ones have free Wi-Fi. Seems like they are now promoting their own e-Books as well through the service. Via Lifehacker.
You can still get 2 hours of free Wi-Fi every day from Starbucks if you register a gift card and use it once a month. Sometimes you just need a change of scenery to get the inspiration going again.

What? You had/have to pay for wireless at B&N and Starbucks? I thought that was free for a while…

That’s great news!

Does that mean you need to be a AT &T customer to use Wi-FI in Starbucks? I have no affiliation at all with AT &T, would that work? Thank you.

Yes, free for everyone at BN. No affiliation need. AT&T is simply the provider.

Starbucks (like all AT&T locations) is free if you have a qualifying AT&T account. If you do not have an affiliation with AT&T, but have the Starbucks gift card, you get the free 2 hours.
