FedEx Shipping Discount Code: Up to 30% Off Overnight + Permanent Discount

I received a snail-mail postcard that advertised up to 30% off certain FedEx Express shipping services, and 10% off FedEx Ground until May 31st, 2009. After that, you’ll still get either 16% or 8% off eligible services. Seems like a potentially useful offer for those with eBay businesses, online shops, or other shipping needs.

Does anyone have experience with Fedex prices vs. USPS? I’m graduating from college and I need to ship a lot of non-book things back home. Time is not an issue. My books are going home through media mail, but I’m wondering if this 30% off deal is better than shipping through the post office.

  2. If you’re not concerned about time, FedEx Ground can be comparable to UPS Ground depending on the distance and weight combination. You can run the rates ahead of time using their respective websites.

FedEx Saver can be good if you want it within 3 days or so.
