Is there actually any benefit to it? I'm under the impression that unless you actually need the time (e.g. to get a corrected W2 or finish making contributions to a retirement account) that it's in your interest to file on or before the deadline, given getting refunds sooner is better, and you'll still need to pay owed taxes on time anyways. I just formed my S-Corp last year and haven't switched my contracts from my sole proprietor business to the S-Corp, so no profits (or expenses yet), but, alas still have to do the return.
