Discover it Card: $150 Bonus, 0% Balance Transfers, New 5% Cash Back Categories

Discover it 14 Month BT (RED)UPDATE – The Discover it Card $150 Cash Back Bonus is now EXPIRED

Discover only has one card these days, called the Discover it card. Discover it® – 0% APR on balance transfers for 18 months

0% Intro APR* on balance transfers for 18 months. Then the variable purchase APR applies, currently 10.99% – 22.99%. A fee of 3% applies for each balance transferred. 0% Intro APR* on purchases for 6 months. Then the variable purchase APR applies, currently 10.99% – 22.99%.

Discover it® – 0% APR on both purchases and balance transfers for 14 months

0% Intro APR* on purchases and balance transfers for 14 months. Then the variable purchase APR applies, currently 10.99% – 22.99%. A fee of 3% applies for each balance transferred.

Comments

  1. It’s been a while since I last signed up for a credit card (almost 2 years ago, right before shipping out for basic, and right as Bank of America came out with their current rewards credit card).

Not only was this really quick and painless, but the painless way they processed it was wonderful. Being able to use it in Asia is pretty painless too, as I expect to travel a lot more in the next coming year.

Thank you for this. Glad I subscribed to this blog.

  2. If I already have a Discover More card am I still eligible for this offer? It says “new applicants” but I would technically be a new applicant for the “it” card.

  3. I signed up for this card on after seeing this post. FICO score was printed on my welcome statement 7 days later. Plus signing up a friend nets $50 each. Pretty good deal here. Thanks!

  4. From the hints it looks like this is going to stay the same as last year:
    Q1: Restaurants
    Q2: Home Improvement
    Q3: Gas
    Q4: Online Shopping
with Movies as a year-long bonus.
