  1. I tried it and got this message: We were unable to match your information. This is a “Special Invitation Only” promotion and only customers that received a communication directly from Chase are eligible to enroll.

Please verify that you entered your debit card information correctly and the zip code matches the address where your checking account statement is sent.

  2. FWIW, I live in the East SF Bay Area.

Maybe this promo is going after customers of the old WaMu.

  3. no go for me neither.
get the same message as “M” above.
    thanks.

  4. ChasePromoChaser says

It is only for California Residents. I tried I am from New York and hunts for promotions and it didnt work. I called the # and they say it is for California residents.

  5. I’m in CA and it didn’t work for me. Apparently, you need to have received a mailer from chase to sign up, in order for this to work.

  6. You couldn’t pay me to use, or even to possess, a debit card:

  7. I have had a Wamu free checking account since 2002 which I’ve hardly used the last couple years and am living in CA, and I received a mail offer from Chase for $125 for using my debit card 5 times. I registered the offer at my local branch, used it 5 times, and will go back to not using it. The branch workers said it will take 2 weeks after the 5 purchases for the $125 to show up.

  8. No luck for me either–I had the same experience as RJ.
