As long as your card is still open at the end of the year, that’s a total of 1.5% cash back. You can request the cash back as a credit on your account, or in the form of a check. In addition, it offers an additional $100 bonus if you spend $500 within the first 3 months of the account opening. The Capital One Cash Rewards has no annual fee and a 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers till June 2014. Added to Best Cash Back Rewards Credit Cards page.

  1. Mickey Blue Eyes says

I saw the commercials for this, and reading the website, it is tempting. However, I already have a couple Chase Freedom cards* and a PenFed rewards card. I don’t know if I need another card.

    * They started out as different types of reward cards, but eventually all got converted to Freedom.

  2. What about the Sallie Mae 2% Visa card?

  3. I did get this card and am very happy with it. They paid the $100 bonus in less than 2 months (as opposed to the BOA card that still owes me $50 after 9 months). Helpful customer service.

This card and my Amex Blue are my everyday cards of choice now. My Visas are backups.

  4. Man, I would kill to have just one card to keep track of spending, but I’m not sure 1.5% is enough… I’m sitting here with a Costco Amex giving me 2% back on Dining and Travel and my Chase Freedom giving me 5% back on rotating categories. It’s hard to give those up… Having multiple cards makes it difficult to track my spending habits though, so I’m considering looking for that “one” card.

  5. Maury, you should give Mint.com a try to track all your credit card spending. It’s free, you can add all your credit card accts. easily, and I now find it indispensable for tracking all my spending and budgeting purposes.
