There are often competing salesmen on there, and the deals can be quite good. In Atlanta, I'm paying $71/mo (incl taxes, fees; no install, or activation fees were charged) for 8 Mbps internet incl modem, and 'Digital Basic' cable (includes almost all general channels), including HDTV, and HBO movies. The deal is good for a year (no contract). I previously used comcastoffers, and had no problem getting the rebate. I kept switching between Comcast and AT&T u-verse (they have a $250 rebate) every 4-6 months, but the deal above is better than anything AT&T is offering here. The website is clunky but I can call and get a human within 30 seconds, and have gotten many great deals on domains. ComcastOffers also filled my rebate with no issues, but I do acknowledge that some others have reported troubles. I avoid rebates in general, which is why it is referred to as a bargaining chip.
