On 11-16-10 I found this offer by Googling "at&t autopay promotion" and the first unsponsored link took me to the Online Account Management page. I entered my wireless number and password, then it took me to the AutoPay Signup page and I signed up per the promo terms. Two days went by and I never got the confirmation email. I called AT&T customer retention department and after spending a long time on the phone, a manager was able to determine that the promotion is by email invitation only. She said that the promo period was 10/28/10 to 11/28/10 but I see from this blog that this promo has been going on throughout the year so looks like another lie from AT&T. I asked to explain why the website link is available to the search engines, i.e., why didn't their webmaster add a no find bot to the meta data so this link would not be indexed to the public, and why not put a disclaimer about the email invitation only --and of course AT&T had no explanation other than to say she would discuss it with her superiors--good luck with that! Bottom line: this is a very deceptive promo--no disclaimer at the bottom, link is easy to find with any search engine -- I say if you want to fight this you got the consumer law on your side and you should file an online complaint with the Public Utilities Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, and your State Attorney General's Office for Consumer Protection.

OK, I have been trying to get this $20 gift card since this entry was posted. Let's just say that it seems totally bogus. I've been on the phone with AT&T, sent them multiple emails, talked to people at "JNR" (which administers the cards for AT&T) and continue to get the run around, several months on.

I deleted my Visa card to Mastercard for auto-pay on their website, so conformed & performed all their terms & conditions.

I'll keep trying to get this card and keep everyone posted.

This is pretty egregious though, and I don't intend to continue my service with AT&T if it's not rectified.

After seeing this article, I enrolled last week. Since I didn't receive the confirmation email, I sent a message to customer support. Their response:

I apologize for any inconvenience that you have experienced due to not receiving a confirmation email for the promotion. I have reviewed your inquiry and our records indicate only accounts that received the promotional e-mail are eligible for the Gift Card. If you received the promotional e-mail to sign up your Mastercard for AutoPay you will need to contact JNR Inc at 888-867-8032 regarding the Gift Card. Unfortunately, we do not have access to view your Gift Card information through customer care.

Easily done. After I signed up, I e-mailed AT&T just to make sure I would be getting the $20 gift card and they confirmed it.

This totally works. I enrolled in this a few months ago and once I received it, I ended up canceling my service and moving over to t-mobile.

I was already enrolled in Autopay with a Visa card. I canceled my autopay then re-enrolled with a Mastercard now I am just waiting for my confirmation email. If I don't receive that I will call At&t and give them a piece of my mind
