It’s the cartridges that get you. Schick is counting on you buying refills.
I shave with a DE razor. Blades are a fraction of the cost of a cartridge. You end up saving a ton of money over the long haul. IMO the results are better. Once you know how to wield a DE razor you can get a closer shave with less irritation. Start up costs are also lower than one would think.

I just got mine from the stupid pillow video too.
It’s a great razor. I’ve been using Mach3’s for years thinking that the whole “4-5 blades” thing was just a gimmick. But it actually does shave much more smoothly and more quickly.

A pox on Schtick! I’m a Gilette fan; the best a man can get! It’s one of the few brand loyalties I maintain.

I agree with EBounding about the “4-5 blades thing.” I too used to think it was bunk, but after now using the two free Schick razors…I’m almost hooked. So tempting to not go back to three blades…so much less irritation.
