This looks like a very juicy offer, Jonathan. How many credit cards is considered unhealthy? I would love to go for this one too — but I think I must have more than 25 major credit cards — which I know is ridiculous. But since I’m 18 I’ve been getting at least one new one a year. I don’t have big balances or anything (most of them haven’t been used in years) — but can something happen if I end up with 50 of them? Thanks :)

This looks pretty good. My wife doesn’t have much credit, so I’m looking for a good credit card for her. I’m also looking for a rewards card for myself. Would I be better off with a joint account or better off to do 2 separate accounts? I know changes were made recently (or will be made soon) to having authorized parties on credit cards to help improve someone else’s credit. What would everyone suggest? Thanks!

  3. Joonas Says:

Dang, I just signed up for the worldpoints card last month, so I guess I can’t get the points for it.

  4. Ted Valentine Says:

mimi - Aren’t you the least bit worried about identity theft with that many open accounts?

Great offer. Applied for me and the wife. Easy $500.

  12. VicfromATL Says:

    Anyt update regarding this card?

  13. Mike Says:

Got mine in the mail last week. No mention of the offer in the included literature, but I was able to verify it with the customer service rep when I called to activate it. It took her a while to find it, so I’m not sure if it was there at first, or if she added it on my request. I’d recommend doing the same to be safe. The rep said she had been working there for a while and that this was an “aggressive” offer. Unfortunately she was unwilling or unable to waive (or limit) the BT fee (3% no limit) to use the 0% BT option. Guess you can’t have it all…

  14. VicfromATL Says:

thanks Mike, I also got my card few days back and activated it.

Same here..:-) It took a while for rep to agree with 25K points offer. I just wanted to make sure that I didn’t miss the boat..:-) and got another credit card in vain.

I did a transaction of > $250, hope to get points soon.

Is this offer still good for new customers?

    thanks,

    Vic
