$100 Bonus for Opening a MBNA Charles Schwab Visa
Charles Schwab is offering a $100 bonus if you apply for their Visa card and make one purchase within 45 days. You must not have applied for this card (for their previous $100-$150 bonuses) within the last 180 days. The bad thing that is you may have to wait 8-12 weeks for the statement credit to show up. This is hot on the heels of the two $100 bonuses offered by Citibank, of which both my wife and I have gotten $100 each from already. The Schwab card is pretty lukewarm other than the initial bonus, but the Citi cards actually have some perks like 3% back at restaurants or 0% APR on balance transfers for 12 months. It’s all about the Benjamins!

Sweet deal! So if I get the card, get the $100 credit, I can spend up to that amount without being “billed” or is it like cash, I can just transfer that to my bank account?

I think the first way is the easiest Russell, just buy $100 worth of stuffs. Even if you could get cash back with another card it is only a dollar.
If I already got the $100 Citi offer you listed, should I apply for this one too?

I don’t get it, the Charles Schwab card gives you extra points for spending it at their website? What do you buy at their website? A sweater?
They really should make these cards better if they expect you to keep using it, like free trades or something. I even have a Charles Schwab account.
